Bed bugs are pesky pests that can infest your home and cause a great deal of discomfort. They are small insects that feed on human blood and can hide in furniture, bedding, and clothing. What Are Bed Bugs?

Bed bugs are small, wingless insects that feed on human and animal blood. They have flat, oval-shaped bodies and can range in colour from light yellow to brown. They are typically no more than 4 to 5 mm long, making them difficult to spot.

Bed Bug Habits and Behavior

Bed bugs are nocturnal creatures that feed primarily at night. They hide in cracks and crevices during the day and come out to feed when it is dark. They can survive for up to 6 months without feeding and are attracted to warmth and the carbon dioxide exhaled by humans and animals.

Common Entries for Bed Bugs

Bed bugs can enter your home in a variety of ways. They can be brought in on clothing, furniture, or luggage from an infested area. They can also be brought in on used bedding, mattresses, and furniture. Finally, they can be spread from one dwelling to another via cracks in walls or through air vents.

How to Tell if You Have Bed Bugs

The most common sign of a bed bug infestation is the presence of bite marks on your body. If you wake up with multiple, itchy red spots that look like mosquito bites, you may have bed bugs. Bed bugs also leave behind dark spots or streaks of blood on sheets or mattresses. Finally, you may be able to spot the bugs themselves in mattress seams, crevices, and furniture joints.

How to Get Rid of Bed Bugs

If you suspect that you have bed bugs, it is important to take action right away. The most effective way to get rid of bed bugs is to use a combination of chemical and non-chemical methods. Chemical methods include using insecticides, dusts, and aerosols specifically designed to kill bed bugs. Non-chemical methods include vacuuming and steaming.

Killing bed bugs can be a challenge, but it is possible with the right products and techniques. Insecticides are one of the most effective ways to kill bed bugs. Look for insecticides that are specifically designed to kill bed bugs and follow the directions carefully. Dusts such as diatomaceous earth can also be used to kill bed bugs, as well as aerosol sprays.

Bed Bug Control

Controlling bed bugs is a multi-faceted process that requires a combination of chemical and non-chemical methods. When using chemical methods, it is important to use the right products and to follow the directions carefully. Non-chemical methods such as vacuuming and steaming are also effective and can help to reduce the number of bed bugs in your home.

Bed Bug Treatment

Treating bed bugs requires a combination of methods. Chemical treatments such as insecticides and dusts can be used to kill the bugs, while non-chemical methods such as vacuuming and steaming can help to reduce the number of bed bugs in your home. It is also important to clean and launder all bedding and clothing in hot water to kill any eggs or bugs that may be present.

We thought we had bedbugs but could find no evidence apart from what we thought were bites. I called Bon Accord and Gabriel was there within a couple of hours. He told us we had carpet beetle. Finding the evidence and showing us photos of the skin reaction which was exactly what we had. He advised and returned at a time to suit us to spray which was done thoroughly and efficiently. No sign of the little critters returning. Thank you Gabriel.

Gabriel turned up with an hours notice one evening and immediately identified the issued. He works efficiently and professionally throughout with timely follow-ups to ensure the problem was resolved. Once completed he was kind enough to continue to check in to see that the issue had gone. Having had Rentokil previously that spent two years doing very little this was a complete breathe of fresh air and solved the problem in less than two weeks. We are grateful and would highly recommend his services.
